MISSION STATEMENT

Formed in 1987 as a non-profit volunteer organization independent of the school district, it is directed by a volunteer board of trustees. RBEF supports the educational excellence of Riverside Brookfield High School by providing creative educational opportunities which are not available through the school district's operating budget. Fund-raising efforts enable the Foundation to award grants to students, faculty and staff to pursue educational enrichment opportunities. The Riverside Brookfield Educational Foundation is a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation has awarded grants in educational areas throughout the curriculum. These grants have enabled students, faculty and staff to participate in:

Fine Arts Programs*
Leadership Conferences
Foreign Language Seminars
Science & Technology Conferences
Applied Arts Programs
*(The grant does not cover athletic camps and programs or private music lessons.)

While there is no membership in the RBEF, we are always looking for parents/guardians of students enrolled at Riverside Brookfield High School, District staff, and community members to either be volunteers or trustees on our Board.
